![]() 1Password is a paid product, and prior to today 1Password for iOS was the only 1Password app on any platform that could be used entirely for free. Prior to this change 1Password would frequently appear on the list of the “best free password managers” and while that’s flattering, it’s not where we want to be. For better or worse, a good chunk of the answer comes down to how we want 1Password viewed as a product among the field of other password managers. I also want to touch briefly on why this feature was removed. And really, why draw attention to the removal of a feature that shouldn’t really affect anyone anyway? I figured that existing customers already have 1Password setups that are working for them, so no one would miss it. In all honesty I assumed it would go mostly unnoticed. I am sorry that we removed a feature that some of you rely on for your workflow and I’m sorry we didn’t communicate its removal. ![]()

But it is also partly because the current media situation is fundamentally different between technology-rich regions and other areas of the world, even though the situation in many places changes rapidly. Therefore everyone involved in Cape Town 2010 is a potential discussion partner in this area. When it comes to media, most if not all of us are participants, observers and producers. This is partly due to the fact that the various contemporary media are no longer the privileged and exclusive area of media enthusiasts, media professionals and media academics. The nature of the topic of this Cape Town 2010 Advance Paper invites contributions and reflections from others. This is illustrated by defining features of the Cape Town 2010 Congress such as the Lausanne Global Conversation and the Cape Town GlobaLink. The rapidly developing information and communication technologies of today’s world constitute a radically different media context for the Lausanne III Congress compared to the previous two Lausanne world congresses in 19, not to mention the much earlier conference in Edinburgh 1910. The varieties of local, global and glocal media messages certainly provide complex and ambivalent contexts for the key task of making the case for the truth of Christ in the 21st century. The missional issues related to media and technology are therefore of real significance to themes and topics at the Lausanne III Congress. Wherever we live in today’s globalized and pluralistic world, information and communication technologies increasingly influence and impact our human lives, our Christian witness and our Christian ministries. Media and technology: introductory reflections Responses to this paper through the Lausanne Global Conversation were fed back to the author and others to help shape their final presentations at the Congress. Editor’s Note : This Cape Town 2010 Advance Paper was written by Lars Dahle as an overview of the topic to be discussed at the related session on ‘Media Messages Matter: On Global Technologies, Gloca l* Trends, and Gospel Truth’ at the Cape Town 2010 Congress. ![]() ![]() But if you’re after the Freestyle collage-making, the latter can support up to 30 photos and it’s beefed up with batch editing (resize, convert, and rename) that the former doesn’t have. You should be concerned with how to construct a correct file path on Unix.Īs you can see I've disabled the Create New Folder action in favor of a Display Text in Window action. You should not be concerned here with what Keyboard Maestro or the macOS will tolerate. But as I noted right at the start, this is very much a plugin of convenience - it is certainly possible to utilise shortcuts in Keyboard Maestro without using it.Hey this working macro I'm making CERTAIN I create a correct file path. It is certainly easier to read and maintain than some AppleScript or shell script, and adding in the entry and name of a shortcut is definitely very quick to do. The result is a spoken translation of the selected text.įor example, each of the following successfully translated to “ Bonjour, je m’appelle Stephen”.įor me, this Keyboard Maestro plugin is a much quicker and neater way to write a macro to call a Shortcuts shortcut. That macro puts the text into an instance variable, which is used as text input to the translation shortcut which it calls. When triggered it calls the subroutine, which copies the text to a named clipboard, dumps that into an instance variable (in the subroutine), clears the named clipboard, and then returns the text to the original calling macro. Download Keyboard Maestro Macro: Translate Selection to French.įor this example, I’ve given the macro a trigger of CTRL + OPT + CMD + 8.We can then use this in another macro to pass the selection via an instance variable into the shortcut action, which is set with Input Type “Text”. Download Keyboard Maestro Subroutine: Get Current Selection.Getting the selected text is something I use quite a lot in my Keyboard Maestro macros, so with v10, I set up a macro as a subroutine to make getting the current text selection even easier. We know that the shortcut is expecting some text to translate, but where would we get the text from? Well, let’s use Keyboard Maestro to pass the current text selection to the shortcut. Now we have this shortcut, let’s see how we can use the plugin to set up a call to it. We will start with a Shortcuts shortcut that takes some text input and then speaks it back to us, translated into French. Results can be set to output to any of the standard Keyboard Maestro options. The path of the file to pass to the shortcut if the Input Type has been set to File. The text to pass to the shortcut if the Input Type has been set to Text. When set to File, it will pass the file for the path specified in the Input File Path field. When set to Text, it will pass the text in the action’s Text Input field to the shortcut. It defaults to None, meaning that no input will be passed to the shortcut. This drop down list has three options - None, Text, and File. The name field is mandatory and is the name of the Shortcuts shortcut to be executed. When you add this action to a macro, you will see the following ![]() Once installed, you should see a new action listed in the Third Party Plug Ins category - Run Apple Shortcut. ![]() ![]()

Critics have called it “ a haunting portrait of adolescence,” “ so embarrassingly true to life,” and “ a case study in adolescent awkwardness.” So, we thought, what better time to reflect on our own awkward adolescences? Why not look back on that period, now that it’s years later and we’re so removed from it all that we definitely don’t find ourselves regularly haunted by those memories? These spikes result in minimum demand charge “ratchets” that in the past penalized KEC’s electric bill.īefore this project, the impact of the Kentucky State Fair elevated minimum demand charges for the next eleven months. Instead, events like the Kentucky State Fair drive large spikes in electric usage. Being an exposition center, load peaks do not follow a typical 9-5 schedule. CMTA was careful to install a system that fit the needs of this facility, including 15 new condensing gas hot-water boilers, hot water pumps, and boiler accessories. Due to the age of KEC’s inefficient steam boiler plant, a complete replacement system was required. |
